What is a sensor?
Sensors are usually attached to an environment monitor in order for the environment monitor to log the data from the sensor. Each sensor type is designed to be capable of detecting a specific environmental factor such as temperature or air flow. The most common type of sensor is a temperature sensor. Simply attach the sensor to the environment monitor and it will begin to take readings from the sensor. Most sensors will be auto-detected by the environment monitor meaning you simply attach the sensor and the environment monitor then recognises the type of sensor and configures itself automatically.
