The WaveTester series of kits are multimode fibre certification 10-Gigabit Ethernet ready kits which contain the tools necessary for certifying fibre optic links against a myriad of popular cabling standards in multimode networks, in addition to simple optical loss tests. A Visual Fault Locator is also included with the light source in the kits for near-end visual fault location and visual fibre identification.

The process of testing a network installation to ensure that it meets specified standards requires that hard copy documentation be produced as proof of adherence to these standards. The WaveTester kits have been designed to ensure that an installed network will perform as it was designed and that such standards have been met.

The WaveTester optical power meter is multimode and singlemode ready and can store reference values for all wavelengths used for optical loss measurements. Fibre runs may be stored and downloaded via a PC serial port for report generation.

The WaveSource 850/1300/VFL is a multimode light source which also includes a Visual Fault Locator (VFL) for near-end visual fault location and visual fibre identification. Its dual wavelength outputs (850 and 1300nm) are temperature stabilized for accurate measurement and it is supplied with ST or SC connector options.
