Test-Um Validator-NT is an All-In-One network management tool that combines the cable testing and speed certification of the Test-Um Validator with the network management and testing capabilities of the Test-Um LanScaper range.
The Validator-NT NT955 is ideal for the Network or IT Manager who would like just one tool to certify, identify, configure and document the Ethernet network at a price and performance ratio that’s highly competitive.
Validator-NT’s patented method of uploading and downloading information about cable tests and network configuration will help you gather the necessary information to manage your network easily, while documenting changes, upgrades or new configurations.
Validator-NT measures and presents fast and clear speed and performance certification results up to 1 gigabit. Speed certification assures the cabling will do the job it is rated to do. Network components such as switches, hubs, routers and systems will then operate at maximum efficiency. Wire maps up to 8 locations with the network remote identifiers.
- Certifies CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6 Ethernet Cables to 1 Gigabit speed
- Tests to TIA 568/570 interconnect standards
- Test coax, phone, audio and security cables
- Qualify VoIP lines
- Active network capabilities for test, link and identification
- Create and print job reports
- Certify, identify, configure and document your network
Certify
Certify individual CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6 Ethernet cable runs up to 1 Gigabit Speed per IEEE 802.3 specifications. Test for TIA568/570 interconnect problems, including opens, shorts, miswires, split pairs etc., determine fault locations, cable length and delay or noise conditions. Qualify lines for VoIP usage and produce and print cable test schedules and results.
Identify
Identify all types of components on your network together with port service discovery, (POTS, Ethernet, ISDN, Token Ring etc) with advertised speed ratings and DHCP negotiation. Access IP addresses, ping equipment and flash hubs/switches for positive port location.
Configure
Configure links between nodes at Gigabit speed. Check IP addresses on netmask, gateway/routers and domain name servers and confirm links between equipment for changes or upgrades. You can also access DHCP hosts to obtain network information.
Document
Using Plan-Um Software you can create layouts of offices or import existing Visio/AutoCAD images. Using the software you can show cables and the equipment they connect to in physical locations, print out layouts and corresponding cable test schedules. The new Network Tools section of Plan-Um allows you to create a complete network layout for on-site reference showing connections, equipment and cable pathways. You can also add notes to each component of the network for future add, changes and move legacy information.
