The TestifierPro performs essential physical cabling tests and wiring verification including length measurement for data, voice, satellite and video cabling. Testifier Pro is a versatile handheld tool for detecting miswire, no connection, shorts, high-resistance fault and split pair conditions when used with remote units, tests for shorts, opens and split pairs without remotes. One button operation initiates Telco, Coax and Network mode for diagnostic tests and results. The TestifierPro can also be used for wire-mapping, tracing and to identify ports where network cables are terminated.

The new NT850 LanScaperPRO Kit combines the functions of a high-end cable tester and length measurement device with the capability to identify, monitor and correct LAN issues associated with physical layer and link conditions in the network. The NT850 kit, supplied with 8 remotes and a tone tracer, is ideal for network and IT managers and installers who need to solve problems at the physical layer on active or newly installed networks.

Use the LanScaperPRO to identify devices, pinging network services to verify connections and IP addresses or conduct link tests identify speed and capabilities. When testing cables, LanScaperPRO provides full cable testing, displaying wire map, ID and any faults including shorts, opens miswires, split pairs, and reverses. It will also measure cable length and generate tones for signal tracing and cable identification.

Certify

Certify individual CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6 Ethernet cable runs up to 1 Gigabit Speed per IEEE 802.3 specifications. Test for TIA568/570 interconnect problems, including opens, shorts, miswires, split pairs etc., determine fault locations, cable length and delay or noise conditions. Qualify lines for VoIP usage and produce and print cable test schedules and results.

Identify

Identify all types of components on your network together with port service discovery, (POTS, Ethernet, ISDN, Token Ring etc) with advertised speed ratings and DHCP negotiation. Access IP addresses, ping equipment and flash hubs/switches for positive port location.

Configure

Configure links between nodes at Gigabit speed. Check IP addresses on netmask, gateway/routers and domain name servers and confirm links between equipment for changes or upgrades. You can also access DHCP hosts to obtain network information.

Document

Using Plan-Um Software you can create layouts of offices or import existing Visio/AutoCAD images. Using the software you can show cables and the equipment they connect to in physical locations, print out layouts and corresponding cable test schedules. The new Network Tools section of Plan-Um allows you to create a complete network layout for on-site reference showing connections, equipment and cable pathways. You can also add notes to each component of the network for future add, changes and move legacy information.
