AVTECH Plug-In Super Bundle
The Super Bundle plugin package is available for AVTECH's Device ManageR software (v3.0.1 and up) which manages the AVTECH range of Room Alert and TemPageR environment monitors. It combines all currently offered plugins for Windows, Unix/Linux, Dial Out and Reporting to provide a complete solution for any IT & facility environment monitoring need. These plugins can be used to shutdown, reboot, log off and/or dial out to an unlimited number of systems... individually, in groups, simultaneously, sequentially or according to a defined schedule.
Windows Shutdown
The Windows Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.
Windows Reboot
The Windows Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.
Window Log Off
The Windows Log Off plugin is designed to log off Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Log Off action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced log off of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.
Unix/Linux Shutdown
The Unix/Linux Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.
Unix/Linux Reboot
The Unix/Linux Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.
GSM Text
The GSM Text plugin is designed to send out text messages via a GSM modem remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the GSM Text action when an alert is detected. This action will use the GSM modem connected to the Device ManageR host system to send a text message to the configured contact.
Dial Out Text
The Dial Out Text plugin is designed to use a TAP service to send out text messages via a modem, or to dial a phone directly and play dial tones. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Dial Out action when an alert is detected. This action will use the modem connected to the Device ManageR host system to either send a text message through the configured TAP service or call a phone directly and play dial tones, depending on the action selected during configuration.
Report Generator
The Report Generator plugin allows users to schedule and send emails to configured contacts with status updates and advanced statistics on discovered devices (Room Alert & TemPageR), alerts detected by Device ManageR and more. Users can automatically view and print statistics of all environmental conditions within their computer rooms, data centres and other facilities. Keywords are available that allow users to insert values for the number of alerts in progress, number of alerts in a designated time period, number of devices discovered, current sensor readings and much more. An unlimited number of reports can be created, allowing users the flexibility to create different reports for different contacts, or to run reports according to different schedules (i.e. daily, weekly or monthly report).
These plugins are ideal for use when conditions in a data centre environment turn fatal for computer systems and other expensive IT equipment such as extreme temperature, extreme humidity, main power loss, flood, smoke/fire, security break-ins and other conditions. Device ManageR can perform these actions without any user interaction both automatically and immediately, saving expensive equipment from damage caused by environment extremes that go unchecked.
