AKCP Temperature Probe
The AKCP 0.3m temperature probe is microprocessor controlled, designed to record accurate temperature data.
The probe is auto-sensed by the sensorProbe or securityProbe when you plug it in, reducing the burden of administration on you.
It is compatible with the sensorProbe2, sensorProbe8 & securityProbe5E.

Q: Am i right in thinking that this probe can be extended by up to 300m, and is still auto-discovered by the sensorProbe2?
AKCP claim that it is possible to extend sensors up to 300m (1000ft), but I would not use the 1ft sensor for this application. You would need to use an in-line coupler on the sensor and the connection quality is rarely good enough . A better option is to use the 5ft sensor and a long, high quality Cat5 patch cable or through you structured cabling system.
