AKCP Power Meter
Power usage is becoming an ever more pressing issue. The AKCP Power Meter can help by giving you total 24/7 visibility of your energy usage. The power monitor will allow you to automate power audits as well as giving you immediate alerting to any potential problems.
The AKCP Power Meter is compatible with the securityProbe 5e, securityProbe8-X20 and securityProbe8-X60 units. The securityProbe units can support up to 64 Power Meters each.
When a sensor exceeds a pre-defined threshold, users can be alerted with AKCP’s industry leading notification options including SNMP traps, email, SMS, MMS and the recently released Skype support. Data collected over time using the Power Meter can also be viewed using the securityProbe’s built-in graphing tools and exported to external applications (eg. Microsoft Excel) for later analysis.
The Power Meter is a multifunctional 3 phase (can be used as a single phase), four wire power meter that can be mounted on a 35mm DIN rail and comes pre-mounted in a protective high quality plastic enclosure.
The Power Meter is capable of measuring: Total Active Power, Total Reactive Power, Active Power, Reactive Power, Phase Line Voltage, Phase Line Current and Power Factor.
The Power Meter meets the International standard for Active energy: IEC 62053-21 and Reactive energy: IEC 62053-23 and is available for either 110V or 220V supply voltages. On 220V it can measure RMS voltage between 200 to 260 Volts and RMS current between 0 to 30A. On 110V it measures RMS voltage between 95 to 125 Volts and an RMS current between 1 to 30A. Power sensor resolution is 0.1A for measurements of RMS current and 1V for RMS voltage. The energy meters can measure active energy usage in Watts and Watt-Hour.
The Power Meter comes with:
- CAT5 cable 5 feet in length. This cable can be extended to up to 100ft maximum
- 3ft power in- and output cable
Questions
Q: Do you have a demo showing the infomation and graphics you can view from the AKCP Energy Meters?
There is a short video on You Tube which demonstrates how to set up the power meter for energy monitoring which you may find helpful. You can find the video at The AKCP Energy Meter (PMS).
