AKCP Combined Temperature/Humidity Probe

The combined temperature & humidity probe only takes a single port on your sensorProbe2 or sensorProbe8. By combining your sensors you can monitor more locations allowing you to get the most out of your investment.

The probe is built using high quality CAT5 cable. Consequently you can extend the range of your probe using your existing CAT5 infrastructure. Not only does this reduce the burden of installing new cabling it also means that you can utilize your existing investment in your cabling infrastructure. The probe can be extended by up to 1000ft, perfect for monitoring remote comms rooms and server rooms.

The combined temperature/humidity probe is also available as a waterproof version.

Questions

Q: Does the AKCP Sensorprobe2 has the feature cut off the electricity by itself when my location has the problem with electrity?

If you want to control the power to a remote device in reponse to a temperature going too high you could connect a Relay Sensor to the SensorProbe and use that to switch the power.

If you simply want to alert on the presence or absence of power you could connect a Power Sensor. Both AC and DC versions are available.

Q: Can we connect the AKCP combined temperature/humidity probe directly to the network?

The Temperature/Humidity sensor is only the sensing device, you need to use an AKCP main unit. The simplest is the SensorProbe2 This will take up to 2 sensors and has its own IP address and software, it can be accessed over the Internet and the software enables you to set limits and receive email alerts when these limits are exceeded. A benefit of the AKCP monitors and sensors is that the sensors can be placed anywhere on the same network via your CAT5 cabling infrastructure.
