Xsensior Lite 2.0 beta starts soon

Mini ThermomterThe next version of Xsensior Lite is currently nearing a beta release. We have listened to your feedback and bug reports and we have taken it on board and we believe you are going to be pleased with the result. In honour of the big changes, we are going to release the new version as 2.0. A minor version increment just wouldn't do.

We have mostly concentrated on the alerting and basic information presentation. The alerting was a big source of bugs and we've worked hard to sort that out. The alerting came relatively late in the development of the 1.X stream so we weren't able to add as many automated tests as we'd have liked. We have certainly rectified that for 2.0... we now have 2290 2295 2303 2339 automated tests against 732 for version 1.5. In addition, testing the alerting module presents a number of unique challenges we've only managed to get a grip on during the 2.0 development.

The main screen has also had a make over. The main graph now presents both temperature and relative humidity on a single graph. Whilst hardly ground breaking I think you'll agree that it makes things a lot tidier.

The current readings are also shown in large letters across the top of the screen. Again, no big deal but a lot tidier.

If you'd like to take part in the beta program for the 2.0 release please get in touch with Denis. We should be ready in the next couple of weeks.
