Announcing the ValidatorPRO and ValidatorPRO-NT cable testers from JDSU

The much anticipated debut of the JDSU ValidatorPRO and JDSU ValidatorPRO-NT is due in January 2010. The ValidatorPRO and ValidatorPRO-NT both build upon the solid foundations of the Validator and Validator-NT products respectively.

JDSU ValidatorPRO Enhancements

• Fiber testing capability has been added to the established copper cable testing capabilities. Both single-mode and multimode fibre testing capabilities have been added using JDSU world renowned fibre optic expertise;
• Both processor and memory have been upgraded to give you a faster experience especially whilst working on a large test schedule;
• The Plan-Um software has been significantly enhanced to provide better planning and reporting capabilities;
• The compact flash cards been replaced with a standard USB memory stick for enhanced capacity, speed and ease of use.

JDSU ValidatorPRO-NT Enhancements

In addition to all of the enhancements for the JSDU ValidatorPRO, the JDSU ValidatorPRO-NT also features a number of additional enhancements:

• Discovery of wireless networks using 802.11 b/g/n wireless technology. Great for troubleshooting wireless problems and for enforcing a "no wireless" policy;
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) detection and validation;
• Enhanced network discovery with the Link Level Discovery Protocol (LLDP).

The introduction fo the JDSU ValidatorPRO and JDSU ValidatorPRO-NT represents a significant enhancement to the existing Validator line up. A stocking order has been placed for both units and we await their arrival with considerable interest.
