Protocol Analysis

Protocol analyzers will capture network traffic, decode it and then analyze the results. Many analyzers will also perform stream analysis allowing you to see the traffic as a series of conversations between hosts.

Protocol analyzers have evolved a long way since their invention in the late 1970s. Protocol analysers now support a huge raft of features not normally associated with protocol analysis. Protocol analyzers have also evolved to support network types like wireless and fibre.
