+44 1943 465918Could you please tell me if the Faultcaster digital time domain reflectometer TDR measuring range covers below 10 Meters
Detailed Question:
In the Spec of the instrument it says it goes up to 2000 meters but no indication of how low it goes. I ask this question as other TDR's I have looked at (Megger, etc) have the same spec desription and further investigation revealed that they did not go below 10 Metres which is the kind of instrument I require.
No TDRs are able to measure below 10m. This is because of timing difficulties with very short lengths of cable. The way to measure short distance is to extend the cable using a measured 10m or other known length of cable and measure from there.
