FAQ
Can Xsensior Lite write heat emergency alerts to the Windows Event Log?
Detailed Question:
We are looking for a product like this to build into our managed services offering, but we would like the alerts to snap into our RMM tool.
The best way for our RMM tool to receive alerts would be if the product wrote to the event log when the temperature got too high, or if it auto-logged temperatures to a text file which we could then search for a word like "overheat", and create an alert based on that. We do not have snmp trapping tools installed at these sites, so snmp isn't really an option in this situation.
Yes. The Xsensior Lite is able to send alerts to the Windows Event Log. You can specify whatever text you want using the built in templating language so you can specify whatever text you like. A continuous export feature has also been added for writing the last reading out to a CSV file. The software and product are available for sale now.
