OPENXTRA Sign Up to Green Computing Charter
Last month Computing Magazine launched the Green Computing Campaign designed to raise the green credentials of the UK’s IT industry at the same time reducing costs to business and increasing efficiency. At the heart of the campaign is the Green Charter, a set of seven points that will form a best practice guide for making IT more environmentally friendly and delivering substantial business benefits.Leeds, 20 September 2006. We at OPENXTRA are mindful of the environmental costs of running even a relatively small business like ours and realize that although recycling what we use is a step in the right direction, we need to address other areas such as efficient power usage and cutting down on printing costs.
