The Electrician's Guide to Network Cabling will attempt to provide a gentle introduction to cable installation from an electrician’s perspective. Hopefully we can help to minimise the number of horror stories we hear about.

There has been much talk over the last few years about convergence. Well, it is real, it isn’t just a Silicon Valley buzzword. It is happening in the real world, you probably wouldn’t be reading this otherwise!

This may come as a surprise to many, though there is plenty of logic to it. Electricians already know plenty about the layout, pulling cables, stripping and terminating wires, fixing wall boxes and a host of other things that are relevant to network cabling.
