Product categorisation rejig

We are in the process of updating our e-commerce system. Yes I know…again!

I think that, quite frankly, our product categorisation is horrible especially for the cable testers. So, we are trying to put that right.

Though, as ever, things are never as simple as they first appear. There is no standard product categorisation outside of self build PC components.

Without standards you are pretty well on your own.

The biggest problem with the current cable tester categorisation is the completely spurious separation of cable testers and network testers. Network testers just being cable testers with some network type tests like ping & traceroute.

So, we’ve merged cable testers and network testers into a single category in the new shop. Hopefully this will avoid some of the confusion from their separation.

One of the nice goodies from the new shop will be the ability to filter by brand, price and by product features. I think that the shop will be far easier to use as a consequence.

If you have any feedback on the shop…please let us know. It isn’t too late to be built into the new version.
