Just rung up direct line for business to get a quote for our compulsory Employers’ Liability Insurance and was refused because we have dealings with companies in the USA! Weird…I’m really surprised because Direct Line is a pretty big insurer. I’d love to know what the problem is with having dealings with the USA?

Suffice it to say all of the quotes have gone up this year. ;)

Jack,
I was reading your comments on the open source network management offerings and noticed the reference to insurance. I work in the technology division for a global insurance broker and I know we have an entire department dedicated to the insurance needs for businesses based on technology. If we can help, send me your contact info and I’ll forward it to the group.

@Shaun – the problem was we got a quote from a UK insurer who refused us because we deal with customers in the USA…something I found rather odd. We’ve renewed with our existing provider so we’re fine thanks.
