New shop entering testing phase
The new e-commerce is now entering its testing phase. A test specification has been written and we are slowly going through it fixing bugs the testing shows up.
We have pencilled in the weekend of the 19-20 May for the switch over. Just a heads up to look for an email on the 21 May if you are an existing account online holder. Please note this does not apply to offline accounts. Passwords are being reset in the switch over, so each customer account will have a new password which will be emailed to you. Obviously, each password will be unique. But, when you get yours, we recommend changing it to something meaningful to you.
For the more technically minded, the new shop uses a more secure password hash so the old password hashes can’t be used. Hashes are used because they are very secure. A password cannot be retrieved from the hash.
We apologise for the inconvenience, we are only doing it to attain as high a level of security as we can.
