ANN: Door Movement Sensor
There is now a door open/closure probe available with the Sensatronics range of temperature and environment monitors. It works by using a magnetic contact which gives different values when together and apart. The user can then be notified when doors are opened and the server room or sensitive area accessed. This device will guard against unauthorised access to the server room but can also be placed on individual rack doors. Price for this probe is a surprisingly economic 35GBP/ 59.50 Euros.
